Michael Pearson
Michael Pearson is a high school instrumental music teacher and an alumni of the University of Minnesota with a Masters degree in Music Education (Research track.) He received his BA in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls as a third generation Music Education graduate from UW-River Falls.
He is currently in his fourteenth year of teaching and his fifth year at Eagan High School, where he directs two concert ensembles, their auditioned jazz ensemble, various chamber ensembles and private woodwind lessons. In addition to the After Hours Big Band, Michael performs with the Encore Wind Ensemble, a premiere wind band from the Twin Cities.
He has also performed alongside the Minnesota Orchestra, Bob Mintzer, and Grace Kelly. Outside of teaching and performing, Michael’s days are wonderfully spent with his lovely wife and their son.
