After Hours Jazz PROject

It all began as a musical outlet and transformed into a passion for education.

The After Hours Jazz PROject, created in 2019, is an opportunity for the After Hours Big Band to expand on their previous educational outreach. Through partnerships with schools, and professional musicians, the After Hours PROject aims to increase the skills, appreciation, and understanding of a new generation of jazz listeners and musicians.

While it created as a in-person, educational, and performance outlet, the PROject is evolving with digital content for all of you. In the upcoming weeks and months, you will begin to see videos (below) highlighting Approaches to Improvisation, Rehearsing in a Big Band, and the Role of the Instruments.
